The brief demanded a product that film crews could configure in seconds on location — cold-shoe mounts, NATO rail compatibility, and a universal cheese plate architecture that works across Sony, Canon, and BMPCC bodies.
WZ Designs handled the complete design development: from initial form studies and ergonomic analysis through to parametric 3D modelling with full assembly management. Every joint was engineered for real-world use — tooled properly, not just rendered beautifully.
The exploded assembly view documents the full system architecture: individual components and fastener types, designed for CNC aluminium production with anodised finish options. Physical prototypes of key components were printed and tested for grip, balance, and thermal performance under extended use.
